The Left and the Death Star of Diversity

The American Left loves diversity.  In fact, the rigidly tolerant champions of judging books by their covers loves the magic “D” word so much that the heavy-handed term has all but become the shrill calling card for these skin tone obsessed political and societal malcontents of our country.

You can call the liberals and left-wing what you want: childish, simpletons, an empire of thought controlling goons from the dark side of the political force.  But you have to give credit where credit is due, and who else could take a vague, harmless phrase such as “lack of diversity” and hijack into the ultimate power of the leftist universe.

Of course, making a planetary nuisance of itself is what the aspiring empire of the Left does best, and when it comes to societal manipulation, the shadow of its Society Destroyer of political correctness is constantly looming over us.  However, even the darkest and most massive of schemes begin very small.  And in order to fully understand how this culturally imperialistic racial-rainbow party got started, we need to first take a look at the Merriam-Websters definition of “diversity.”

It states:

Diversity:  the condition of having or being composed of differing elements : variety; especially : the inclusion of different types of people (as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization <programs intended to promotediversity in schools>

Now, notice that little section that says “especially: the inclusion of different types of people (as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization <programs intended to promote diversity in schools>” ?

Well, this second part of the definition wasn’t around prior to the late 1990s.   However, thanks to the ever intrusive nature of the Left, the meaning of the word diversity has now been forced into the narrow confines of big-brother political opportunism.  An opportunism which conveniently also serves to reinforce the Left’s total lack of interest in any other forms of diversity -particularly with regards to the diversity of thoughts or ideas.   And yet, like so many other issues the anti-American faction preaches to the middle class masses, the Left’s dogmatic pursuit of utopic equality once again leaves the rest of us scratching our heads as we observe the contradictory lifestyles of these soap-box addicted social engineers.  After all, just a single glance at virtually any traditionally leftist institution (academia, Hollywood, the mainstream media) will reveal a considerably vanilla like aesthetic to these champions of racial restructuring.

This paradox then naturally leads to the question:  how can the Left tyrannically enforce promote racial diversity when they themselves often have little to none of it in their own lives?

Well for starters, as always, we have to first distinguish between the two major components of the Left  -the Far Left (or Left-Wing) and liberals- in order to see what makes this disturbingly vast anti-American gang tick.  Furthermore, and as with the previous exploration of the two factions on this site, we will begin with the premise that each of these two primary sub-divisions views a particular cause with a motivation distinct from the other’s.  And in the case of this racially manufactured issue, that premise holds true once again.

The X-Wing fighter is far preferable to the Left-Wing fighter.

Let’s start with the Far Left.  As with its other troublesome crusades, the left-wing’s inspiration is relatively simple and concrete.  To this Darth Vader like cabal of  tyrannical enforcement, the implementation of stifling and intrusive diversity rules and regulations is simply another way to squeeze the life out of a freedom and liberty based society.  A perfect example of this is the seemingly altruistic governmental program of  academic affirmative action.  Which at the university level, is really only about two things:  one, it allows for an already leftist dominated professorial field to be granted a more easily manipulated, racial minority student body for whom to indoctrinate with its Marxist rhetoric, and two, it serves as an excellent means for the long arm of the Far Left to further close its fist around our public educational system.

After all, what better way to create real-world dissension than by using our institutions of higher learning as a tool of the dark side to reinforce an eighteen year old’s victimologist belief system

I will bring racial order to the classroom galaxy.

This then brings us to the Far Left’s quivering, color conscious underling, the American liberal.  If the Left-Wing is the black helmeted mastermind of this imperialistic takeover, then the liberal is the bumbling storm trooper.  An indistinguishable, faceless soul who most likely has zero understanding of the true nature of what he’s fighting for, and yet, is unquestionably dedicated to this deceitful racial cause.

However, there is a striking difference between our very own liberals and the minions of George Lucas’s Imperial Force.  Unlike the happily subservient, and relatively ego-less storm trooper, the standard-issued liberal is a dour, elitist  foot soldier who views himself, and those around him, with a high-maintenance, thin-skinned arrogance.  An arrogance, which although completely unfounded, compels him to continuously strive to satisfy his tender, emotional needs.   Thus, for liberals, the ultimate goal is not to control the ‘universe’, but rather, to somehow separate themselves from its unenlightened sectors (i.e. middle or mainstream America).   And truth be told, what better way to deal with this ivory tower dilemma than by accusing -if not all out believing- the people who make up this contemptible part of the American universe of being nothing more than monolithic, knuckle-dragging racists?

So, this then brings us to the second part of the liberal diversity double whammy, which is that aside from its constant need to satiate its superiority complex, the self-involved liberal is also burdened by a misplaced, and relatively empty sense of guilt.

Where does this guilt come from?

Well, ironically it comes from the fact that liberals, despite their finger pointing racial demands of the rest of the population, clamor to live a lifestyle which is virtually devoid of any sort of diversity whatsoever.  Hence, in order for them to alleviate their hyper affluent angst, liberals who congregate in such racially one-dimensional planetary kingdoms as Manhattan, San Francisco, Portland, and of course, Hollywood, will often project their judgmental inner turmoil towards, say, someone living in the fair skinned plains of Omaha, Nebraska.   And although this odd sense of behavioral perspective may seem like a shameless hypocrisy to the rest of this, to the unaffected liberal, this ‘do as I say, not as I do’ belief system makes perfect progressive sense.

In fact, to take this hypocrisy a step further, just imagine how the Faberge egg  psyche of the liberal would crumble if ever forced to apply the same racial diversity principles it so indignantly touts onto his own life.  When was the last time you heard a liberal demand that his or her favorite football team institute some sort of diversity program?  What about about all the times you’ve witnessed a movie loving liberal show concern over the lack of racial diversity of academy award winning actors/actresses in Hollywood?  Or how about all the occurrences you’ve heard of a hand wringing lib lamenting over the fact that his otherwise financially successful business lacks the acceptably diverse racial customer or client base, particularly if altering that base would reduce that business’s revenue?

Liberals tend to stick together, and oddly enough, often lack a noticeable amount of diversity.

Right, me neither.

What is truly disheartening though about this selective enforcement of  ’it’s the outside, not the inside that counts’ brand of diversity is the dehumanizing impact it has on American society.  In this particularly subversive case, both liberals and the left-wing are guilty of something far worse than just making their usual mess out of things.   They are doing their very progressive best to infect our nation with the disease of racial or ethnic identification.  A disease which causes its victims to not so much see themselves as American citizens, but rather, as members of his or her own special little club; one with members too cool to bother to understand, or respect, the country they are so fortunate to be living in.

Thus, in the end, in order to successfully combat the Left’s America-fracturing Death Star of Diversity, we as conservatives, Republicans, and Libertarians must vigilantly and effectively communicate to those disengaged groups that the American is an astonishingly unique citizen.  Not just as compared to today’s standards, but as compared to all of the globe’s citizens since the five thousand years ago when the world’s first civilizations emerged.

This is the only way we will be able to break the shackles of such leftist influenced, divisively poisonous thinking.   A way of thinking which, thanks to the Left’s best efforts, has caused far too many of us not to grasp our founding fathers’ philosophy; that only through freedom, liberty, and strength of the individual will society raise itself and unify as a whole.  And it is this philosophy which makes America great.   Not the government, not the collective, and not the superficial belief that we need to be constantly reminded of our various ancestries, various histories, and of course, various skin tones.
