Shame: The Left’s Exploitation of the Trayvon Martin Shooting

As the recent Trayvon Martin tragedy has painfully proved, racial manipulation is alive and well in our country.  The flame of hope that Barack Obama’s election as the nation’s first “black” president would cure the racial tension which has burdened our society for so long was officially stomped out by Trayvon’s death, and as usual, the Left is largely to blame.

Our mocha skinned, forty-fourth president was allegedly supposed to lift our nation out of the murky swamp of racial conflict.

Now one of the goals of this site is to not only analyze and expose the tactics of the Left, but to also break down our in-house detractors and explore who these people are and what makes them tick.  Thus, for purposes of this article, it is important to distinguish between the two major subdivisions of the Left -liberals and the left wing (aka the far left)- and how their motives actually quite differ; and yet, often result in virtually identical behavior regarding various political and societal issues.  And in this case, the issue involves race.

Let’s first examine the liberal.  Liberals reside in the posh neighborhood at the left of center on the political spectrum and can most simply be defined by their persistent craving for instant gratification.  This gratification comes in two basic forms: the constant need to feel good physically and the constant need to feel good mentally.  Of course, we all want to achieve both physical and mental well-being, but what makes liberals different from the rest of us are the towering levels of maintenance required to meet their needs. 

This then leads us to the sad dichotomy of the liberal:

In essence, liberals have an overbearing compulsion to feel morally and intellectually superior to others, while at the same time, live a type of self-indulgent, materialistic lifestyle which completely contradicts their portrayal as an altruistic people whose collective hearts endlessly bleed for the “underdog” or “less fortunate.”  Consequently, the aggravating results of this ivory tower syndrome leaves us stuck with the unfortunate phenomenon known as ‘white liberal guilt.’

So, for liberals, when it comes to the issue of race -something they seem to endlessly obsesses over- the solution to their hand wringing anxiety is simple: behave in an enabling and patronizing way towards whichever aggrieved group they are concerned about at the moment, while at the same time, condemn those who are legitimately trying to help these particular groups (tough love can be a difficult concept for the liberal mind to grasp).

This brings us back to the Trayvon Martin case.  Thanks to the convenient skin tones of Zimmerman (the shooter) and Martin, the media has gone into sanctimonious overdrive by breathlessly portraying the death of the seventeen year old as a clear case of vicious white on black hate crime while, as more and more facts pour out, it clearly was not.  In fact, not only is Zimmerman of mixed race but he was on the receiving end of a vicious pummeling by Martin before being forced to discharge his weapon.

However, whenever facts obstruct the perpetually outraged vision of liberals, they simply push them aside or tinker with them until “the truth” is shaped more more to their liking. A perfect example of this can be found in the left-wing operated but latte liberal reading bastion of the New York Times. In depicting the incident, the Times has decided to push a new, absurd term, “White Hispanic”, to describe Zimmerman since one of his parents is white (Obama also has one white parent, when was the last time you heard the media refer to him as a White African-American?), in order to maintain the tragedy’s ‘whites against blacks’ narrative.

This tactic not only allows Manhattanite type liberals to cry crocodile tears for the death of Trayvon but also permits them to once again smirk at what they gleefully perceive as a backwards and racist, mainstream white America.

By contrast, the left wing’s racial views derive from a less emotionally complex but considerably more nefarious origin.   Thus, while liberals are consumed with simply elevating their own fragile feelings, the left-wing is consumed with dragging America into a deep, dark pit of socialism (important  note: just about every liberal I’ve ever debated with has displayed zero comprehension as to what socialism actually is, let alone its failed history around the globe).

So how does the far left actually employ racism as a primitive means of pressing our nation into a totalitarian state?

The answer is fairly basic.  By continuously stoking the racial fire, the left-wing hopes to raise the nation’s level of disharmony to the point of where wide scale violence erupts; thus signalling the true beginning of our society’s downward spiral into third world chaos.   As a result, the federal government will then finally have the green light to drastically enforce its will onto the American people in the name of “saving” them.

This is why, for our current administration, the Trayvon incident is such a wonderful opportunity.   If Obama can keep his antics up (“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”), and things deteriorate badly enough, the doorway of Marshall Law will open, the military will move in, and our country will quickly begin to resemble the nations of the world which our founding fathers fought so hard to save us from.

What’s interesting and ironic is that liberals are more or less a pawn of the left-wing.  As with the far left’s environmental agenda (a topic I’ll be covering in the very near future), the left-wing capitalizes on the clueless liberal’s phobias and narcissism in order to seduce him into rallying around a number of manufactured “causes”.  And as is usually the case when liberals take up these trendy causes, they have little to no understanding of who or what they are actually supporting.

Once again, as I described above, liberals and the far left actually have very little in common.  Yet, they are joined at the hip when it comes to supporting the same anti-American side of political issues and candidates.  A perfect example of this type of dubious but enduring love affair is maybe best exemplified by the gushing relationship between the movie industry (Tom Hanks narrates the president’s just released seventeen minute “documentary” film) and President Obama.

Strange bedfellows: The profit driven movie capital has made for the perfect liberal tool of the capitalism hating Left.

So as we’ve now delved further into the inner workings of the Left, a question I wonder is which of these two major factions is more dangerous?  The liberals or the left-wing?  This might be like a chicken or the egg debate, but one thing is clear, both groups are equally guilty of encouraging and promoting the cancer of racism in this country and this is simply another reason we as conservatives (and liberaterians) have to do everything we can to defeat the unpatriotic Left.
