A Strong Stance: Americans and Chik-fil-A Possess the Backbone Liberals Don’t Have.

Gay marriage for me has always been a distraction issue. Something the Left uses to manipulate another perceived victim demographic into voting Democrat.  A demographic that maybe makes up two percent of the population and primarily exists in states that are already overwhelmingly “blue.”

I don’t really care about gay marriage.

What I do care about is the malignant cancer of political correctness.

I think is was 1994, my sophomore year of college that I first heard the strange, vaguely disruptive term.

What was this ‘correctness?’  It sounded shady.  What did it really mean?  The letters P.C. floated around campus like an annoying ghost.  You couldn’t see it,  not particularly threatening, but you’d be happier if it just wasn’t there.

Eighteen years later that pesky ghost has transformed into a psychotic, omnipresent, fire blasting dragon.

Hi there!  I’m Political Correctness and I’m here to help.

It’s what it was always meant to be.

Unknown to me until just a couple of years ago, the origin of political correctness was as the brainchild of the father of Marxism, Karl Marx.  A vast, insidious mechanism designed to enslave a nation’s citizens without them ever knowing it.  If you can control the argument you can control the people.

Well, the people have politely dealt with this unrelenting monster for twenty years. And now that America has suffered through it’s first blatantly Marxist president – yes, Bill Clinton shared a very similar ideology to our current ruler but was far more adept at hiding his true nature – the people have had enough.

Chik-fil-A shot the first arrow at the dragon.

An arrow that announced the American company’s views are consistent with that of traditional marriage.

And as usual, liberals have displayed about as much mental flexibility as a steel brick.

What’s most fascinating about Chik-fil-A’s public stance is that it’s a corporation actually bucking a trend.  Corporations don’t do this.  They are colossal machines which make their decisions based on two factors.  The bottom line and avoiding lawsuits.  I worked in the corporate world and it’s like dealing with day of the robots when it comes to issues of  race, gender, and yes, sexual orientation.

Here’s a conversation verbatim I had with a middle manager type guy my first month in the corporate universe:

Middle manager type:  Spence!  How was your weekend?

Me:  Good, man.   How was your’s?

Middle manager type: It was outstanding!  Did you spend it with a girlfriend or a boyfriend?

Me:  Um.  No.  I’m not gay.

Middle manager type:    I didn’t think you were but we maintain a positive, gay friendly atmosphere here.

Me:  Um thanks.   I’m going to go back to my office now.

Plastic corporate personalities aside, this is the stranglehold political correctness has on our society.  Did middle manager type guy really think I might be gay?  I doubt it.  Did middle manager type guy actually care about the perspective of  gays? Based on what a childish, shallow twat  he turned out to be, I’d say definitely not.   Had middle manager type guy been programmed by his superiors through endless, one-sided  ”sensitivity in the workplace” meetings to ask this question?  Bingo.

That’s why the support shown on Chik-fil-A appreciation day was so impressive and crucial beyond the day’s events.  The Left gets its power through intimidation. Liberals throw around the word “hate” like beads on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.  Who you are accusing and what his or her actual intentions are means nothing to liberals.  But intimidation is hollow if you can’t back it up and the lines of free speech advocates that stretched well beyond the Chik-fil-A restaurants signaled that Americans – and even a powerful corporate entity – were no longer going to be bullied by phony leftists who’ve gotten away with their own self-serving intolerance for far too long.

Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emmanuel, is a sterling example of such a leftist.

“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members.  And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values.”

A not-so-soft threat.  And like our President, Emmanuel has very little use or respect for the first amendment, let alone the Constitution.  He presides over a mega city and seeks to appease what he sees as his significantly liberal voting base (Chicago actually has the largest gay and lesbian population per capita in the nation) – and probably our suddenly same-sex marriage “approving” President as well.  Even worse, his behavior here is particularly obnoxious due to Chicago’s explosion of gangland violence, murders (311 as of July, 26 this year), and hate crimes.

Strange how we don’t hear a peep nationally from Rahm about the violent atrocities being committed under his watch.  But Chik-fil-A’s views on marriage sparks his moral outrage?

Americans are tired of this garbage.

So we’ll tell the gays they can get married. And then after I get re-elected we’ll take all their money too.

This nation is in big, big trouble and we’re stuck with politicians and a mainstream media who are living in some sort of academic fantasy land.   They lecture us on fabricated issues – the temperature changing by a half a degree in the Arctic, a business’s need for the appropriate variety of skin-pigmentation, our career successes being owed to someone who built a road twenty years ago – and accuse of things we haven’t done and being things we are not.

It’s a bad joke.

The Far-Left is once again trying to be as disruptive as possible.  It has no interest in gay rights – or anyone’s rights for that matter.  Nor does it have any interest in Americans uniting in a constructive, respectful way so we can return to our not-so-long ago glory.

Liberals of course don’t know it’s a joke.  They waste our time harping on divisive, esoteric issues and browbeat everyone who doesn’t see the world through their same hazy, rose colored glasses.  This is what led Americans to come out in such great numbers to support Chick-fil-A.

If you don’t see the world like this then you are full of hate.

Unfortunately, the liberal gay community (yes, I know that sounds redundant but there are conservative gays out there) doesn’t get the Left’s sense of humor either. Another minority too wrapped up in identity politics to see that they’re being played as fools.   Thomas Sowell calls this “ethnic narcissism” and although homosexuality isn’t an ethnicity -at least I don’t think it is yet- the principle is the same.

The Left loves this and takes full advantage.  After all, if liberal gays realized that – other than the issue of being legally married –  they do have the same rights as everyone else then it would be a hell of a lot tougher to get them to fall into Democrat lockstep every four years.  This doesn’t mean that their choices are going to be liked by everyone and they don’t have to be.

It’s called reality.

And we all have to deal with it.

Chick-fil-A had every right to express its views.   And to be honest, the gay “Kiss-In” response to the appreciation day showed a dangerous lack of perspective.  If you are a gay man or woman who feels less threatened by the Occupy Wall Street crowd or a President who is chummy with the Muslim Brotherhood, then you are in for a rude awakening if things in this country ever really do go the wrong, left-wing way.  Then like they do throughout the rest of the world, The Far-Left will show the gay community what true intolerance really is.  And it won’t be the p.c. police who comes to save you.

It will be those conservative Americans whom stood in incredibly long lines to support our First Amendment rights, America, and of course, Chick-Fil-A.

  1. Marcus Aurelius says:

Who has not been threatened at work by some beady eyed hate police twit? There you are just minding your own business, perhaps reading your Bible during break…and Bamho-you are in the throes of it. Well we the people who do not ply the hallways looking for “violators” of some new sensibility repackaged are not about to keel. I enjoyed this article.

  2. I just love reading the comments where they say “Great read, man!” and “Yeah, liberals suck and gays suck too!”. Well, here’s the thing, if your man Romney was in charge, gays would be locked in an electric fence, food would be dropped to them from a helicopter (so people couldn’t get gay cooties on them), and basically left to die. That’s how you think.

What exactly are you fighting against, Spencer? Human rights? Do you hate gays so much that you think you can step all over their rights? Your article didn’t provide ANY sources, it was poorly written, and full of hatred. It was. Anyone can see that except conservatives who have put up walls in their mind saying “I agree with these certain values, and anyone who doesn’t have the same exact values is stupid!”

You can punch the left all you want, but really you’re just punching yourself. If rights are taken away from minorities, rights are taken away from all of us. Read some of the articles over at 100Feed; maybe you’ll learn how to write for a blog, dude.

When you learn how to read Richard, I’ll learn how to write. And no I don’t hate gays at all. What I do hate are imbeciles who interpret every thought and opinion that isn’t exactly what they want to hear as “hatred.” In all honesty, do you have any idea how stupid you sound?

And what basis do you have to say that about Romney?

I’ll tell you because I know you don’t know. You don’t have any basis. You just spew out any garbage that tumbles into your head. But I know that doesn’t matter to people like you. The truth is that liberals hate everyone and could care less about “minorities”. You see minorities as people to exploit so you can express your infantile misery towards the nation while deluding yourselves into thinking that you care about anybody but yourselves. And just how do you think your master, Barack Obama and his new playmates, the Muslim Brotherhood, feel about gays? I know you don’t care. And I know it’s a question which actually requires some sort of education about this world, and liberals just aren’t into that sort of thing. But just think about it, dummy. Then again, why be knowledgeable when your can just run around shrieking and accusing people of things that have no truth whatsoever?

As far as my blog goes, I doubt you even read any of my articles (what you ranted about has nothing to do with anything I’ve ever written), and if you did, based on your comment, you’re clearly too stupid to understand any of them. As for the bogus quotes you decided to cite (a typical lib tactic), I don’t see anywhere that says “Yeah, liberals suck and gays too!” I’m guessing you’re just revealing your inner feelings there.

I actually want to thank you though because people like you only help me to expose liberals for the clowns they are. I usually don’t bother responding to lib hate mail because the content of what you have to say is so worthless and so poorly articulated it’s not worth the time. However, I made a special case for you because you hit such a profound level of stupidity that I felt I should share it with everyone.

      Thanks, Richard.

p.s. I’ll skip your blog, genius. I got everything I need to know about you from your post on here.

  3. Excellent article! The reason I went to Chick-fil-A on August 1st—after not having been in one for about 25 years—was not to protest “gay marriage”; it was to protest the PC fascism that has become commonplace in our once-great nation. Give a liberal an inch, and they’ll demand a mile; and call you a “hater” if you disagree.

    • Spencer Wolfe says:

Thank you, Lech. You are absolutely right. Like Michael Savage (and many others) say: “liberalism is a mental disorder”.

  4. Awesome..! I was making a similar point to this the other day but I didn’t even come close to expanding on it like this or putting it so succinctly! I wish that the American public would rise up more often against identity politics and the PC police. The Chick-Fil-A episode shows that we will, if pushed too far, but I just wish we would be more pro-active against it all.

    Great read man…!
